BREWMASTER FAQ
- Q What is meant by cold-filtered and what is being filtered?
- A: MGD is cold-filtered through its exclusive ceramic filtration system. Microscopic particles
are removed in this process, making sure the MGD you drink is the purest, highest quality beer
you can buy.
- Q How many Miller breweries are there? Are there any NEW BEERS coming out soon? Is Miller ever going
to make a winterfest type beer? If they do or will, what is/was/will be the name?
- A: Miller has breweries in Milwaukee; Eden, NC; Albany, GA; Trenton, OH; Ft. Worth, TX;
and Irwindale, CA. We are always looking at new products and when consumers tell us they
are ready for a certain type of beer, we'll be ready to meet their demands.
- Q Is there a possibility that I could RECEIVE A SAMPLE of your new ICE brewed beer? It would be most
appreciated!
- A: Because of legal considerations, we can't offer free samples of any of our beers through the
MGD Tap Room. Check with your local Miller Distributor to see if they may be conducting
sampling events if you are interested (and 21).
- Q Is there really an alcohol percentage difference between ice beers and regular ones?
- A: Ice beers contain a slightly higher alcohol level than full calorie premium beers. The alcohol
level is a result of the ice brewing process which chills the beer to a temperature at which ice
crystals form. That helps determine the taste profile and characteristics for ice beers.
- Q How is "light" beer made? Does it have less alcohol content?
- A: Light beer is made with the same basic ingredients as all beers. The difference comes in the
process. I can't divulge the particulars, but generally, light beer does contain slightly less
alcohol than full-calorie beer.
- Q NEW MILLER PRODUCTS: Does Miller plan on producing a wheat based beer soon???
- A: We are always developing new recipes and products. Wheat beers are becoming more and
more popular among, especially, specialty beer drinkers. We pride ourselves on being the
industry's innovators so don't be surprised to see more new products from Miller.
- Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR ANY NEW BEERS FOR THE SUMMER? I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU HAD ANY INTERESTING BEER GAMES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH ME.
- A: We are always testing and evaluating new products. When we have a beer ready for the
market, we make an announcement. Do you have any suggestions for products you'd like to see
from Miller? By the way, our favorite beer game is increasing our share of the overall beer
market!
- Q Why are your beers so good? What makes it a good product? What marketing strategies do you use?
- A: Our beers are so good because all of us at Miller are committed to making you the
highest-qulaity beer. Our brewing staff is second to none and is constantly working to make our
products the very best. Our business strategies are proprietary, but we do all we can to make
our products meaningful to our consumers in an appropriate way and responsible way.
- Q CLUB/EVENT SPONSORSHIP: Dear MGD, Thank you for providing this wonderful service. I am a student at Harvard University and am in charge of the stein club for Cabot House. The Stein club is in dire need of a sponsor. We would be delighted if Miller would sponsor our club. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you very much.
- A: Thank you for the kind words. We suggest you contact the local Miller distributor to see if
they may be interested in sponsoring your program (are you all 21?). Good luck.
- Q Does the Miller Brewery consider homebrewing to be competitive to Miller's products?
- A: Miller is pleased to see a renewed interest in brewing. It only serves to make beer drinkers
more knowledgable and interested in beers of all types, including Miller beer.
- Q Can you explain to me the reason why red beer is red?
- A: Red beer is red because of the type of barley or malt used in brewing. The basics for brewing
are barley, yeast, hops, water and, with many beers, additional grains like corn and rice.
- Q We are home brewers and we were wondering if you had any good recipes that we could experiment with.
